Zugaaz Enhances AIM Service with Weekly Sailings and Launches Eco Calculator

Zugaaz, a leading player in the global container shipping industry, has announced an exciting upgrade to its Africa, India, and Middle East (AIM) service. Starting with the westbound sailing arriving at Jebel Ali on May 6th, the company will increase the sailing frequency of this key service from a fortnightly to a weekly schedule. This change aims to provide greater flexibility and convenience to meet the evolving needs of its customers in a dynamic market.

The AIM service will continue its established rotation, connecting Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Durban, Tema, Tincan, and Apapa before returning via Durban to Jebel Ali. The enhanced frequency will ensure more reliable and timely delivery options for shippers and cargo owners, reinforcing Zugaaz’s commitment to offering high-quality and responsive service in the region.

In addition to this service enhancement, Zugaaz is also making strides in environmental sustainability with the launch of its Eco Calculator. This new tool is designed to help customers make more informed decisions regarding their carbon footprint by calculating the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions associated with shipping. The Eco Calculator measures emissions in two ways: Tank-to-Wake (TTW), which accounts for emissions from burning fuel, and Well-to-Wake (WTW), which includes emissions from the entire fuel lifecycle, including production, delivery, and use.

The Eco Calculator provides detailed information on total distance and CO2 emissions from the point of receipt to delivery, allowing customers to select more environmentally friendly shipping options. This initiative reflects Zugaaz’s ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact and supporting sustainable practices within the shipping industry.

With these recent developments, Zugaaz is not only enhancing its service offerings but also leading the way in promoting greener shipping solutions, positioning itself as a forward-thinking leader in global maritime logistics.
